Woodlot Christian Preschool is Open

Updated March 20, 2021

Dear Parents,

Woodlot Christian Preschool's academic program is open. We follow classroom and school operations as outlined by the CDC guidelines as well as Office of Children and Family Services regulations. Social distancing, masks and handwashing are part of these protocols.

Classroom space will be limited due to the new guidelines.  Therefore, if you plan for your child to come to Woodlot please know that enrollment is limited and early registration is advised. Enrollment for Summer Enrichment and Fall Academic is now open. We currently have spaces available in our Pre-K 3's and Pre-k 4's classrooms.

How We Operate Under Covid-19:

Each child will have their own desk separate from other children with the daily age appropriate activities for learning. We ask that you help your child try to get use to wearing a mask. We do recognize that some children will not be able to wear a mask for extended periods of time, therefore social distancing will be a priority. Partitions are placed between desk for added benefit. All our teachers will be fully vaccinated by May 1, 2021.

Thank you for your support and prayers.

Woodlot Christian Preschool is dedicated to helping children develop a healthy relationship with their friends, family, and God. We provide a comprehensive curriculum that helps children develop social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills in preparation for kindergarten. As an independent, interdenominational Christian school, it welcomes all races and creeds. Judeo-Christian values are taught encouraging children to be respectful of others and self-confident.

We believe children gain an eagerness to learn where there is an atmosphere of love and joy.

Using a multi-sensory approach to teaching, we prepare children for kindergarten by providing a wide variety of fun enriching activities to develop skills in the areas of literacy, math, science, the arts, music and physical health.

Books including Bible stories, storytelling, drama, and poetry are used to develop phonetic awareness, phonics, and word knowledge. Those entering Kindergarten are given the SRA Open Court Reading curriculum to help develop reading skills. Children take home decodable books weekly to build confidence in reading sight words and advancing their literacy skills.

We help children develop a sense of responsibility in caring for our community and physical environment.
